LAWRENCE, Kan. - The Kansas women's tennis team will return home after a two match road trip to finish non-conference play against No. 47 Northwestern Sunday at the Jayhawk Tennis Center.
Sunday's match against the Wildcats will be the Jayhawks' first ranked match of the season, as Kansas is ranked No. 30 in the country. The ranking is the Jayhawks' highest ranking since the 2022 season when Kansas was ranked No. 23.
The Jayhawks feature the No. 102 singles player in the country, Gracie Mulville, who is 5-2 on the season. Kyoka Kubo and Anna Putilina also have great records, with Kubo sitting at 5-2 and Putilina sitting at 5-1 on the season.
Kansas looks to get back in the win column, as the Jayhawks fell to Old Dominion and Clemson last weekend. The Jayhawks faced off against Northwestern last year in Fayetteville, Arkansas, but dropped the match 1-4.
