LAWRENCE, Kan. - The Kansas women's tennis team will play two duels this weekend, as the Jayhawks will face Wisconsin on Friday, Feb. 7 and Arkansas on Sunday, Feb. 9 at the Jayhawk Tennis Center.
Kansas comes into the weekend with a perfect 5-0 record, which is the program's best start since the 2015-16 season, where the Jayhawks started off 6-0. Kansas will play Wisconsin on Friday at 4 p.m. CT. The Jayhawks are 2-1 against Wisconsin all-time, with the last meeting being in 1994.
Kansas will face Arkansas on Sunday, with action beginning at 12 p.m. CT. The Jayhawks played against the Razorbacks at the Duel in the Desert in January in Palm Springs, California, where Kansas won all three doubles matches, and won five out of the seven singles matches.
The Jayhawks feature the No. 53 ranked doubles pair in Heike Janse Van Vuuren and Gracie Mulville, who are 5-0 on the season. The pair of Anna Putilina and Yerkezhan Arystanbekova have also started the season undefeated, going 2-0. Kansas features multiple undefeated records in singles, including Mulville (4-0), Kyoka Kubo (4-0), Putilina (3-0), Jasmine Adams (3-0), Van Vuuren (2-0), and Arystanbekova (2-0).
