IRVING, Texas – Kansas graduate outfielder
Jackson Hauge was named Big 12 Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday. The Big 12 award is the first of Hauge's career.Â

Hauge hit .421/.593/1.263 (8-for-19), with four doubles, four home runs, 14 RBIs, six runs scored, seven walks and a 1.856 OPS in five games last week. He had two multi-homer games, on Wednesday at Minnesota and on Saturday against Baylor.Â

All eight of Hauge's hits last week were extra-base hits. Hauge hit the fifth of five consecutive home runs at Minnesota to tie an NCAA record for most consecutive home runs. He finished Wednesday's game with a career-high seven RBIs at Minnesota.

The Ramsey, Minnesota, native currently has 11 home runs this season, which is tied for third in the nation and leads the Big 12. He also leads the Big 12 with 32 RBI (15th nationally) and total bases with 63 (23rd nationally).

Hauge is the 21st player in Kansas history to win Big 12 Player of the Week. He is the second Jayhawk this season to earn a Big 12 weekly honor, following
Tommy Barth who earned Big 12 Newcomer of the Week on March 3.

Kansas (17-3, 2-1 Big 12) will play four games in Arizona this week, beginning on Tuesday at Arizona in a non-conference game at 8 p.m. CT and then a three-game conference series at Arizona State from March 21-23.
