LA QUINTA, Calif. - The Kansas women's golf team will travel to La Quinta, California, to compete in the Yale Invitational West at the PGA West - Greg Norman Course from March 10-11.

Kansas takes part in a 12-team field that includes host Yale, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, Long Beach State, San Diego State, Grand Canyon, Princeton, California, North Carolina, Oklahoma State and Kansas State.

"We have had a great couple of practice days here in the desert and are prepared," said Kansas head coach
Lindsay Kuhle. "We are really looking forward to competing this week."

The 23rd-ranked Kansas Jayhawks enter the Yale Invitational West following their fifth tournament victory of the season, recording a team score of 825 (-39) — the second-lowest 54-hole total in program history.

Senior
Lauren Clark heads into the event with momentum after securing back-to-back individual tournament wins, including setting a new Kansas record for the lowest 54-hole individual score in program history at -17. Her impressive performance earned her Big 12 Women's Golfer of the Month honors for February.

Kuhle will travel with a lineup of seniors Clark,
Lily Hirst and
Johanna Ebner, junior
Amy DeKock, sophomore
Lyla Louderbaugh and freshman
Ebba Nordstedt. Louderbaugh will be competing as an individual for KU.

"Our team is hitting it well and we feel this tournament and course is another opportunity to see where our games are at before we get into the postseason," Kuhle added.Â

The 54-hole tournament will feature a 36-hole shotgun start on Monday, followed by an 18-hole round on Tuesday to wrap up the event. The Jayhawks are set to tee off at 11:15 a.m. CT on Monday and will be paired with Yale and Vanderbilt.
