"We are thrilled to head back to Red Sky Golf Club this week to compete in the Golfweek Red Sky Classic," Kansas head coach
Lindsay Kuhle said. "We love this event, the course, the weather, the location, and the exciting new experience and opportunity. It feels great being the defending champions and we have a great sense of confidence heading into this tournament."
Â
Kuhle will travel with a lineup of senior captain
Amy DeKock, junior
Lyla Louderbaugh, sophomores
Ebba Nordstedt and
Jillian Fatkin, and freshman
Kinslea Jones.Â
Â
"Amy as a senior captain has been very consistent in our first two events, and has a great chance to step up as a leader again on the team this week," Kuhle said. "Lyla, Ebba, Jillian, and Kinslea all had a great week and are playing their best golf of the season right now. I am excited to see what this group can accomplish on this course, one that we feel very comfortable on." Coach Kuhle said.Â
Â
DeKock is coming off a great start to her senior season, with a 14
th-place finish at the Folds of Honor Collegiate and prior she recorded her first collegiate win at the Jayhawk Invitational. Last year at the event DeKock tied for 10th at the Red Sky Classic with scores of 71-72-71 (-2).Â
Â
Louderbaugh also competed in this event last year, where she finished with scores of 74-71-71 (E) and tied for 18th place. Louderbaugh is coming off her second top-20 finish of the season, and is looking to improve on her performance from last year.Â

Nodstedt did not compete in this event last season, but is coming off her first event of the season where she shot 73-77-75 (+9) and tied for 21st place at the Folds of Honor Collegiate.
Â
This will be Fatkin's first tournament as a Jayhawk. The transfer attended Queens University in her freshman season where she carried a scoring average of 74.19 and recorded four finishes inside the top 10.Â
Â
"We're coming into this week full of energy, enthusiasm to play well for KU, and confidence and look to defend our title," Kuhle said.Â
