Kansas Rowing Announces 2026-27 Schedule

LAWRENCE, Kan. - Kansas rowing coach Andrew Derrick announced the team's schedule for the upcoming 2026 fall and 2027 spring seasons. The 2026-27 schedule features a lineup of competition all across the country.Â
"We are excited to cap off our fall training season with a chance to compete at the Princeton Chase for the first time," Head Coach Andrew Derrick said. "It's a huge and highly competitive event that should give us a good sense of where we stand as we close out fall training."
Kansas opens the fall position of the season with a scrimmage against Tulsa on Oct. 17 in Lawrence. Following the scrimmage, the Jayhawks will travel to Princeton for the 3-Mile Chase on Oct. 29-Nov. 1.
To open the spring season, Kansas will host the Creighton Bluejays for a scrimmage on March 14 before traveling to Oak Ridge, Tennessee, to compete in the Cardinal Invite, hosted by Louisville, on March 18-21.Â
The Jayhawks will then have a quick turnaround before competing in the Sarasota 2K on March 24-27 in Florida. KU will travel to Raleigh, North Carolina, to compete in the Lake Wheeler Invite, April 22-25, against a strong field of competition.
The Jayhawks will then return home to host the Jayhawk Invite at Lake Wyandotte, April 30-May 1. Kansas State, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Tulsa will join Kansas for the event, which will also serve as Senior Day and the Sunflower Showdown for the Jayhawks.
Kansas will return to Sarasota, Florida, to compete at Nathan Benderson Park for the Big 12 Championships, May 13-16. The NCAA Championships will follow in Sarasota at Nathan Benderson Park, May 29-31.
