LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas rowing was represented by three individuals on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large team, including
Kathryn Borthwick,
Kara Lyons and
Lindsey True.
The trio of Jayhawks helped lead Kansas to a program-best runner up finish at the Big 12 Championship on May 17. The Jayhawks scored 61 points and placed in the top three in all respective races to secure the program-best finish.
It marks the first time all three Jayhawks have earned the CSC Academic All-District honor.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. A student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Eligible nominees must compete in 90 percent of a team's competitions or compete as a member of an NCAA boat (1V8, 2V8, 1V4) at a conference or national championship.Â
The trio of Kansas rowers are eligible for the CSC Women's At-Large All-America Team, which will be released on July 7.
