LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas women's tennis will travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas for two duals this weekend against Wisconsin on Saturday, February 14 at 11 a.m. CT and Arkansas on Sunday, February 15 at 12 p.m. CT at the Billingsley Tennis Center.Â
The Jayhawks come into the match with a 3-2 record after falling to Wichita State on Feb. 8. Kansas faced off against both teams last season, losing to Wisconsin 7-0 and defeating Arkansas 4-3. Wisconsin comes into the match with a 4-2 record on the season, while Arkansas sits at 6-0.
Kansas features multiple ranked players in this weeks' ITA rankings. Kyoka Kubo is ranked at No. 25 in singles after starting the season 5-0, following her quarterfinal appearance in the NCAA Singles Championships last fall. Kubo joins Heike Janse van Vuuren in the doubles rankings, as they are ranked No. 58. The duo is 4-1 on the season. Van Vuuren is also ranked with Meg McCarty in the doubles rankings at No. 73, but they have not played a match together this season.
