La QUINTA, CALIF. – The Kansas men's golf team is set to travel to La Quinta, California to compete in The Prestige at the PGA West Golf Course from February 16-18. This will be KU's first tournament of the spring season.
The Jayhawks will compete in a 24-team field that includes Colorado, Oregon, Little Rock, Gonzaga, Oregon State, Stanford. Texas Tech, SMU, Yale, Princeton, UNC Wilmington, San Diego, Clemson, Kansas State, Northwestern, Wake Forest, North Alabama, Colorado State, Lipscomb, UC Davis, Iowa State, Washington State, and Nevada.Â
The Prestige will consist of three rounds in an 18-18-18 format spanning over three days of competition.
Kansas is coming off a good fall season in which the team finished in the top half of all six tournaments they competed in, with three top five finishes.Â
Kansas head coach Jamie Bermel will travel to California with a lineup made up of senior Luke Honner, juniors Max Jelinek and Will Baker, sophomore Hartej Grewal, and freshman Arthur Carlier.
