TAMPA, Fla. – Kansas closed out the USF-Rawlings Invitational with losses to Michigan and Florida on Sunday, falling 4-2 to the Wolverines before dropping an 11-2 decision to the Gators.
The Jayhawks built early momentum against Michigan, taking a 1–0 lead and later moving in front 2–1 before the Wolverines rallied late for the comeback win. Against Florida, Kansas relied on steady pitching through the first three innings but could not generate offense until late, as the Gators used a big fifth inning to secure the victory.
How It Happened | vs. Michigan
- The Jayhawks got their bats going first after Ella Boyer singled through the left side to bring home Aynslee Linduff.

- Michigan rallied in the bottom of the sixth to tie the game again at 2-2 on a home run. With no outs and a runner on third, Barber recorded her seventh strikeout of the game, but the Wolverines were able to squeeze a run across to take a 3-2 lead.
- Michigan added another run on a single to right field to extend its lead to 4-2. Kaelee Washington entered in relief of Barber and struck out the final batter of the inning to give Kansas one last chance heading into the top of the seventh.
