LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas Rowing's III Eight has been selected as the Big 12 Boat of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday after securing first in their respective race at the first-time attended, Minnesota Invite.

The III Eight is comprised of freshman coxswain
Samantha Ronen, senior stroke
Lauren Burright, seat 7 freshman
Ashley Herbert, seat 6 senior
Catherine Bachovchin, seat 5 freshman
Suyin Howard, seat 4 sophomore
Morgan Tenpenny, seat 3 junior
Andronika Dyer, seat 2 freshman
Naida Paschal, and on the bow, sophomore
Audrey Crowson. The crew locked in a time of 6:57.8 to beat Big 10 competitors, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin on Lake Phalen in St. Paul, earning Kansas' best overall standing in the regatta.
This distinction marks the second time this season a Kansas boat has been recognized with a Big 12 Weekly honor, with the prior coming after the I Eight won the final race in the Dillion's Sunflower Showdown on Apr. 15, 2026. It also marks the first time since 2021, two KU boats have been named "Big 12 Boat of the Week" in the same season.
