Why did you choose KU?-
I chose KU because my parents, aunt, uncle, and older brother were Jayhawks before me. I grew up cheering at KU basketball games and my home in Eudora is very close to the campus.
How did you get introduced to rowing?
- I have competed in sports my entire life – cross country, basketball, track and field, and soccer. When I started receiving letters from some college coaches to run cross country and track, I became interested in being on a collegiate athletic team. Then, I heard about the rowing team at KU and reached out to Coach Hovis to tryout.
Favorite thing to do in Lawrence?
- I love to shop and eat with my friends on Mass Street.
- Prep and Pray – I’ve got to physically prepare for the race and pray for myself and my teammates to have a great row on the water.
