Appeared in 26 games for the Jayhawks, primarily as a relief pitcher and made seven starts for the season… Finished the season at 6-3 with a 3.53 ERA… Pitched a complete game while striking out seven to pick up a win against Middle Tennessee State (2/17)… Pitched all five innings and struck out five allowing no runs to defeat Fairfield (2/26)… Pitched a complete game and struck out seven to pick up a win against North Florida (3/11)… Did not record her first loss until 30 games into the season (at Missouri State, 3/27)… Pitched 3.1 innings of scoreless relief, while only giving up two hits in the second game of the doubleheader against UMKC (4/25)… Pitched 4.1 innings of relief, only allowing one run on five hits to defeat No. 24 Texas Tech (4/28)… Pitched an inning of scoreless relief against Texas A&M (5/4).
2011 (Freshman Season)
Appeared in 34 games with 23 starts at pitcher… Named the team[apos]s Rookie of the Year… Posted a 12-10 record with one save… Pitched a team-high two complete-game shutouts… Tied for the team lead with 78 strikeouts… Posted an ERA of 3.31 in 127.0 innings pitched… Tossed eight complete games, which was one shy of Allie Clark for the team lead… Began her Jayhawk career with a 7-0 record and a 1.26 ERA after 11 appearances, which included six starts… Earned a save in her collegiate debut after striking out one batter and allowing only one baserunner in 2.1 innings to preserve a 5-4 victory against No. 25North Carolina in the season opener (Feb. 11)… Struck out five while only allowing two hits and one walk in a complete-game shutout against Minnesota (Feb. 27) to give Kansas a 1-0 win… Threw her second career complete-game shutout against San Jose State (March 6), scattering four hits and three walks in her seven innings… Struck-out a season-high nine batters against UMKC (March 30) while only walking one batter in six innings… Improved her record to 12-1 after a complete game against Coastal Carolina (March 20) in which she struck out four and walked none to guide Kansas to a 6-2 victory.

Lettered in softball for two years at Texas City High School before spending her final two seasons with O[apos]Connell College Preparatory… Compiled a 0.54 ERA in 2009 to help lead O[apos]Connell to a state championship… Named district MVP and to the all-tournament team during her senior season… Hit a walk-off home run to advance her team to state in 2010… O[apos]Connell also won district in 2009… Garnered first team all-state honors twice and named first team all-district all four years…Member of Texas City[apos]s regional championship team in 2007… Also named the Galveston county player of the year.
