2012 CROSS COUNTRY
Competed in four of KU[apos]s six meets on the year… Ran for the Jayhawks at the Big 12 Championships (10/27) and recorded an 8K time of 25:48.9 to finish 54th overall… Best finish of the year was 12th and came at the Bob Timmons Classic (9/1) with his 6K time of 20:49.9… Took part in the B-Race at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational (10/12), crossing the 8K finish line in 25:34 to finish 59th.
2012 OUTDOOR
Won the 3,000-meter Steeplechase en route to a new personal best at the Emporia State Relays (4/7), crossing the finish in 9:27.58… Earned gold in the 3K Steeplechase for the second time at the Bill Williams/Bob Laptad Invitational (4/29) where he finished in a time of 9:28.75… Placed sixth in the 3K Steeplechase at the Kansas Relays (4/19) with his time of 9:39.22.
2012 INDOOR
Recorded a personal best in the 3,000 meters at the Jayhawk Classic (1/27) placing eighth and crossing the finish line in 8:49.42… Logged a personal best in the 5,000 meters at the Tyson Invitational (2/10) with his time of 15:11.84, finishing fifth overall… Top mile time of 4:29.47 was posted at the Bob Timmons Challenge (12/2/11) en route to a third-place finish.
2011 CROSS COUNTRY
Ran in four meets for the Jayhawks in his first full season with the team… Best individual finish was 12th-place at the Bill Easton Classic (9/3) where he finished the 6K in 20:16.20… Season[apos]s best 8K time was 26:10 in a 51st-place finish of the B-Race of the Wisconsin adidas Invitational (10/14).
2011 OUTDOOR
Placed third in the 3,000-meter Steeplechase at the Razorback Spring Invitational (4/2), finishing in a time of 9:46.37… Ran a 8:50.97 3,000 meters at the John Jacobs Invitational (4/16) to finish fourth.
HIGH SCHOOL
Ran for Coach Martin Barratti at Fountain Valley High School.
PERSONAL
Son of Deryl and Patsy Dyson… Has an older sister, Emily (24)… Majoring in audiology… After college he plans on attending graduate school in San Diego.
