Tegan Thornberry started at Kansas Athletics in August 2003 and serves as the director of team operations for the cross country and track and field programs, as well as the swimming and diving teams at the University of Kansas.
Before being named director of team operations, Thornberry[apos]s main responsibilities included that of travel manager for the school[apos]s Olympic sports, where her main responsibilities included overseeing all travel operations and making sure each team[apos]s trips run smoothly. In her new role, she will act as a liaison with student athlete services, continue to coordinate team travel and work with head coaches on submitting weekly practice logs to compliance.
Thornberry was a member of the Kansas golf team and also worked as a men[apos]s basketball manager while in school. She also spent time as a baseball operations intern for the Kansas City Royals. Thornberry earned her bachelor[apos]s degree in sports and fitness management and her master[apos]s in sport studies at KU.
She was born in Seoul, South Korea and attended Saint Thomas Aquinas High School in Overland Park, Kan., where she was a member of the golf team.
