Netted first collegiate goal in the Jayhawks’ 6-0 victory over Loyola-Chicago (8/25).
Tallied two assists on the year, the first coming against West Virginia in a 1-1 draw (10/24) and the second in KU’s 2-1 victory at Iowa State (10/31).

PLANO WEST SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
Led team in scoring and assists last season for the Plano West Lady Wolves.
Named team’s most valuable offensive player following the 2016 season.
Helped the Wolves to the 6A District 6 title in 2015.

CLUB (SOLAR CHELSEA)
Spent four successful years as a member of the Solar Chelsea Soccer Club from 2013-17.
In 2015, helped Chelsea to a third-place finish at the ECNL National Finals in Richmond, Virginia.
In 2013-14, she helped Chelsea to the ECNL Texas Conference State title and advanced to the ECNL National Finals in Seattle.
PERSONAL
Daughter of Fernando Castro-Silva and Cynthia Castro.
Has one older sister, Kristine.
Has two uncles who have played professionally in the U.S. and abroad: Diego Castro, who played for six squads in his career, including a stop with Hertha Berlin; and Rodrigo Castro, who played collegiately at Indiana before playing with six teams in his pro career.
Cousin, Brennan Castro, played for the Santa Clara men’s soccer team from 2013-16.
