Bio
2007-08 (Freshman): A key sprint freestyler for the Jayhawks… Represented Kansas in the 50 and 100-yard freestyle individual events at the 2008 Big 12 Championships in Austin, Texas, where Kansas placed fourth… Was one of seven KU swimmers to return to the finals of the 50-yard free at Big 12s, where she placed 22nd (24.37)… Swam the 50-yard freestyle against Northern Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Drury, Nebraska, Iowa and Iowa State… Swam the 100-yard free against five opponents in Northern Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Nebraska and Iowa State… Provided depth in relay and butterfly action for the `Hawks.
High School (Homestead): A four-year letterwinner in swimming… High school team was seven-year conference champions and four-year sectional champions… Was a member of the record-setting 400 freestyle relay team… Was a four-time conference champion her senior year of high school… Named Varsity MVP in 2007… Was a member of the high school honor roll all four years… Graduated with honors… Was a scholastic All-American.
Personal: Parents are Gary and Sue Dlugopolski… Sister, Leslie, currently swims for Texas A&M University… A journalism major… Hopes to pursue a career in advertising or public relations.
