Why did you choose KU?-
I chose KU for its exceptional growth opportunities and the chance to be part of agrowing rowing program aiming for higher levels of competition. The coaches' vision and mission inspired me, and the campus immediately felt like home. The outstanding support team and dedicated staff create an environment where athletes can truly excel, making it the ideal place for me to grow as an athlete, student, and individual.
How did you get introduced to rowing?
- My journey into rowing began in 7th grade. I was talking with a friend who mentioned her brother was on High Performance rowing team. So I signed up for a camp to try. From the very first day on the water, I knew I had found my new passion. My coach told me, "This is meant for you." From that moment on, I never looked back.
Favorite thing to do in Lawrence?
- My favorite thing to do in Lawrence is to explore new places with my friends.
- My pre-race tradition is mostly a secret but it does involve Migos and coffee. Before I race I am always sure to talk to my coach and reconnect before we launch
