Benjamin Fields joins KU as an experienced rowing professional, educator, and business leader with over a decade of experience developing successful programs, leading organizational operations, and building strong community partnerships.
Throughout his career, Fields has demonstrated a proven ability to cultivate elite student-athletes on and off the water with past leadership positions at multiple high-level institutions, including Duke University, Stony Brook University, Steel City Rowing Club, Friends of Port Rowing, Resolute Racing, and DeMatha Catholic High School. Using his background in business education with his expertise in rowing, Fields also combines leadership, communication, and mentorship to help them achieve their full potential.
In addition to his coaching experience, Fields brings extensive skill in business operations, logistics, fundraising, customer relations, and strategic planning. As the founder and CEO of Blue Line Rowing Services, he managed all aspects of business operations, including financial management and client services.Â
Fields earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Sports Management from Marietta College in 2015. His diverse professional background, combined with a passion for growth and building successful programs, has established him as a respected leader within the rowing community and among the Kansas coaching staff.
