LAWRENCE, Kan. – Fourth-year head coach
Lindsay Kuhle announced the upcoming 2024-25 schedule for the Kansas women's golf team on Monday.
The 2024-25 slate includes four tournaments in the fall and five in the spring, highlighted by the Big 12 Women's Golf Championship at The Clubs at Houston Oaks in Hockley, Texas, April 15-17.
"We are very excited for our schedule this season," said Kuhle. "We are playing in seven different states all over the country and this experience will guide us to play our best golf this postseason. It is our goal to prepare our players through competition and experience on a variety of championship courses for postseason play."
Kansas will open the 2024-25 season at the Folds of Honor Collegiate, hosted at American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven, Michigan, Sept. 9-11. Kansas will then travel to Wolcott, Colorado for the Golfweek Conference Challenge at Red Sky Ranch Golf Club, Sept. 23-25.
Less than two weeks later, the Jayhawks will host the Marilynn Smith Invitational on Oct. 7-8 at Lawrence Country Club (LCC). The Marilyn Smith Invitational was first played in 1994 and has been hosted between Kansas and Kansas State throughout its history, and will make its second appearance at LCC all-time.
To close out the fall season, the Jayhawks will head to Paradise Island, Bahamas on Oct. 18-20 for the White Sands Bahamas Fall Invitational at Ocean Club Golf Course.
Kansas opens the spring 2025 season at the Match in the Desert, Jan. 27 at Prospector Course in Superstition Mountain, Arizona. After a short rest, Kansas will travel to Orlando, Florida for the UCF Challenge on Feb. 2-4 at Eagle Creek Golf Course.
Next up is the Wisconsin Westbrook Invitational on Feb. 23-24 in Peoria, Arizona. Hosted at the Vistas Course at Westbrook Village Golf Club, Kansas won the event in 2024 and broke every team scoring record while doing so.
After a two-week break, the Jayhawks will travel to La Quinta, California for the Yale Invitational West on March 10-11 at the Greg Norman Course at PGA West. Kansas will then close out the 2024-25 regular season at the ASU/PING Invitational, March 28-30, hosted at Papago Golf Club in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Big 12 Women's Golf Championship awaits the Jayhawks on April 15-17 at The Clubs at Houston Oaks in Texas. Last year, Kansas finished seventh in the loaded field and shot a conference program-record team score of 876 (+24).
Following the Big 12 Championship, the NCAA Regionals are set for May 5-7, while the NCAA Championships will open May 16, at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa Champions Course in Carlsbad, California.
The Jayhawks are coming off a sixth-place finish at the 2024 NCAA Cle Elum Regional, which was their second-consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and third in program history.
The 2023-24 season was record-shattering for Kansas, recording the program's lowest team stroke average in a season at 289.3. The Jayhawks also broke the previous 18, 36 and 54-hole team score records at the Wisconsin Westbrook Invitational, winning the event for the program's first team title since 2017.
