PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Kansas hits the road on Monday as the Jayhawks will play the Brown Bears at Stevenson-Pincince Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. CT and the match will be broadcast on ESPN+.
Â
"Brown has been one of the most successful teams in the country over the last few years," head coach Nate Lie said. "They're well-coached, experienced and proven winners. We're going to need to play extremely well, but if we're going to reach our goals as a team it's a great way to measure where we are as a program."
Â
Kansas (2-0-1) remained unbeaten this season following a 2-2 draw against Tulsa on Thursday night in the home opener at Rock Chalk Park. The Jayhawks outshot Tulsa 30-6 in the match, which included goals from freshman
Jillian Gregorski and senior
Raena Knust. Redshirt sophomore
Saige Wimes assisted on both goals, marking her first career multi-assist game.
Â
Gregorski currently leads the team with two goals and five points this season. The Wethersfield, Connecticut, native has come off the bench and made an impact in all three matches. Gregorski scored 68 goals and recorded 82 assists in her high school career.
Â
Four of five goals scored by the Jayhawks this season have been by newcomers. Lie and his staff brought in 15 newcomers to go along with 15 returners for the 2024 season.
