LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas women's tennis will be competing at the ITA Central Region Championships at the Headington Family Tennis Center in Norman, Oklahoma, from Thursday, Oct. 16 through Monday, Oct. 20.Â
 In pre-qualifying singles, Yerkezhan Arystanbekova will be matched up with Cecilia Franzin of Oral Roberts, Anna Putilina will be facing Alva Norberg of North Dakota and Kinley VanPelt is facing Jimena Gomez of Arkansas. Heike Janse van Vuuren, Sandugash Kenzhibayeva, Kyoka Kubo, Meg McCarty, Simryn Jacobs and Meriem Ben Ezzedine have all already qualified and automatically move on past the pre-qualifying round. Pre-qualifying is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 16 with the main singles tournament beginning on Friday, Oct. 17.
In doubles, Kansas will be represented by the pairings of Yerkezhan Arystanbekova and Meriem Ben Ezzedine, Heike Janse van Vuuren and Kyoka Kubo, Sandugash Kenzhibayeva and Meg McCarty and Anna Putilina and Kinley VanPelt. Doubles play is scheduled to begin on Thursday, Oct. 16.Â
 Kubo is ranked No. 103 in singles in the ITA preseason rankings, while Kubo and van Vuuren are No. 20 in doubles. The duo of Kenzhibayeva and McCarty are ranked No. 85 in doubles.Â
 The 2025 ITA Women's Division I Regional Championships will have a draw size of the following, (Singles: Minimum of 64 Main Draw, Minimum of 64 Qualifying) (Doubles: Minimum of 32 Main Draw, Minimum of 32 Qualifying). From this, the two singles finalists from each region (26) will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship. Meanwhile, the doubles champion from each region (13) will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship.
