Kansas fell to 8-3-1 (2-1-1 Big 12) on the season, while Baylor improved to 10-1-1 (3-0-1 Big 12) this year.
"Congratulations to Baylor," Kansas head coach Nate Lie said. "It's the second time in a row that they beat us, and they've scored three goals both times. We did a decent amount of things well tonight. We generated 21 shots to their 11 shots and had 11 corners. This game would feel so much different if we made more of those opportunities. I challenged the team to respond, and they came out too flat in the second half. I think we could respond better in those moments, but we'll move on and get ready for the next match."
Baylor put pressure on the Kansas defense early on in the match in the second minute, as Aryanna Jimison received a pass inside the 18-yard box and took a shot towards goal, but KU goalkeeper Sophie Dawe saved it.
In the 20th minute, KU generated some pressure by drawing its first corner kick of the match. After the ball was sent in, Caroline Castans took a strike, but the ball sailed high for a Baylor goal kick.
Later on in the first half, Gregorski won a loose ball and advanced it to Jocelyn Herrema who took a run into the box with the ball. She took a shot towards the bottom left corner of the goal, but the Baylor goalkeeper stepped in front of it to keep the match scoreless.
Kansas got another good chance in the 33rd minute. Herrema took control of the ball on the left side of the field and crossed it inside the box, where a Baylor defender tried clearing the ball but it deflected off her own teammate. Jordan Rowan took the loose ball and tried to put the ball into the back of the net, but the BU keeper was able to corral the ball to prevent the score.
Baylor's second chance came late in the first half, with Olivia Hess taking a strike from outside of the box that Dawe saved.
Baylor scored the first goal of the match with 45 seconds left in the half, as Jimison took a shot from outside the box to give Baylor a 1-0 lead going into halftime.
Just a minute into the second half, Jimison collected a pass at the top of the box and scored her second goal of the match to give Baylor a 2-0 lead with 44 minutes remaining.
Kansas tried to respond in the 51st minute with a Kate Langfelder strike, but the shot was blocked by a Bear defender.
Just a few minutes later, Gregorski dribbled the ball close to the goal and fired a shot towards the middle of the goal, but it was saved by the Baylor keeper.
Baylor added another goal in the 68th minute off a Brynnlee Bohannon strike to give the Bears a 3-0 lead.
Kansas got on the board in the last minute of the match, as Gregorski scored from the top of the box off a pass from Livvy Moore to close the match with a 3-1 final score in favor of Baylor.
