Fayetteville, Ark. – The Kansas Jayhawks continued their dominance at the Wooo Pig Classic, scoring a combined 25 runs over two games and securing victories without playing a single game past seven innings. Kansas' explosive offense and steady pitching fueled decisive wins over Boise State and Charlotte, keeping the Jayhawks in control from start to finish.
"It's always great when our team can come out and swing the bats the way we did today," said head coach Jennifer McFalls. "But even more important is the way we stayed locked in defensively and in the circle. We want to keep building off this momentum and keep getting better every inning."
Against Boise State, Kansas jumped out early behind home runs from Ella Boyer and Campbell Bagshaw, along with timely hitting from Presley Limbaugh and Anna Soles, building a 10-0 lead en route to a run-rule victory. The momentum carried into the matchup with Charlotte, where the Jayhawks overcame an early 4-0 deficit with a six-run second inning sparked by Hailey Cripe and Kadence Stafford, followed by multiple RBI hits and home runs from Bagshaw and Soles. Kansas maintained locked-in defense and strong pitching throughout, ultimately closing out a 15-4 victory to cap a dominant day at the Classic.
How It Happened | vs. Boise State
- In the top of the first, Kansas wasted no time getting its offense started. After Aynslee Linduff reached on a single, Ella Boyer launched her fifth home run of the season to give the Jayhawks an early 2-0 lead. On defense, Kansas retired the side in order with three straight outs.
- Kansas added another run in the second on a Bailey Amezcua single that plated Kadence Stafford, extending the Jayhawks' lead.
- The Jayhawks' defense retired the side quickly, sending the team back to the plate. With the bases loaded, Campbell Bagshaw stepped up and launched her first home run of the season, a grand slam, putting Kansas ahead 7-0.
- Kansas added one more run in the third inning, as Presley Limbaugh singled to drive in a run, pushing the Jayhawks' lead to 8-0.
- The Jayhawks remained steady on defense, recording three quick outs to move into the fourth. There, Hailey Cripe delivered an RBI triple that scored Ella Boyer, then later came home on a throwing error to extend Kansas' lead to 10-0.
- Lila Partridge continued to deal in the circle, as she and the Kansas defense stayed locked in through four innings before surrendering their first hit of the game.
- The Jayhawks secured the run-rule victory after recording three straight infield popouts, sealing the 10-1 win.

How It Happened | vs. Charlotte
- Limbaugh got the offense started with a single through the left side, but Kansas was unable to push a run across, sending the Jayhawks back on defense, where Kaelee Washington earned the start in the circle.
- In Charlotte's first at-bat, the 49ers loaded the bases, and their cleanup hitter launched a grand slam to bring everyone home, giving Charlotte an early 4-0 lead.
- Kansas got out of the first inning behind Lizzy Ludwig pitching, with two straight groundouts and a strikeout looking.
- Kansas erupted for six runs in the second inning, turning an early deficit into a commanding lead. Cripe sparked the rally with a single, and Stafford followed with a double to put two runners in scoring position. Bagshaw and Ava Wallace each delivered RBI singles before Limbaugh added another run with a groundout. After a walk and a wild pitch brought in an additional run, Anna Soles capped the inning with a two-run home run to center, giving the Jayhawks a six-run frame and a complete momentum shift.
- The Kansas defense stayed locked in during the bottom of the second. Despite Charlotte loading the bases, the Jayhawks worked out of the jam and held onto their 6-4 lead.
- In the top of the third, Kansas added insurance, with an RBI single from Wallace to extend tis lead to 7-4.
- Limbaugh started things off with a walk and stole second before Soles ripped an RBI double down the left-field line to score her. Boyer followed with another double down the left-field line, plating Soles to keep the momentum rolling. After a pitching change, Cripe drew a walk, and Boyer later came home during a rundown play to cap the inning.
- In the circle, Barber shut the door in the bottom half with a strikeout and two groundouts to second, sending Charlotte down in order.
- Bagshaw came out swinging, launching her second home run of the day to push Kansas ahead, 12–4.
- Kansas plated three more runs in the sixth, Wallace and Emma Tatum opened with back-to-back singles up the middle, and Limbaugh drew a walk to load the bases. After a fielder's choice at the plate, Soles lifted a sacrifice fly to bring home the second run of the frame. Boyer followed with a clutch single up the middle, driving in two more to stretch the lead 15-4.
- Charlotte had one more chance to battle back, but they went three up, three down, sealing the 15–4 win for Kansas.
