Competed in seven meets … Opened the season with fifth and sixth place finished in the 60 meter hurdles (8.82) and pole vault (4.91 meters [16-1.25 ft.]) at the Bob Timmons Challenge … Ran a 8.69 second 60 meter hurdles at the KU-KSU-WSU Triangular, also placed fifth in the pole vault with a 4.91 meters (16-1.25 ft.) clearance … Placed seventh in the heptathlon at the Rick McGuire Invitational with 5177 points. Set a personal best high jump of 1.81 meters (5-11.25 ft.) and placed second in the pole vault with a 4.85 meters (15-11ft.) clearance … Competed in the pole vault at both the Steve Miller Invitational and Tyson Invitational but did not record clearances … Set a personal best 4.93 meters (16-2 ft.) pole vault at the Arkansas Qualifier to finish eighth, also ran a 8.62 second 60 meter hurdles … Closed the season with a personal best 5215 in the heptathlon at the Big 12 Championships, placing 11th. PERSONAL Is the son of Sarah and John Kasper … Has two siblings, a younger sister Reese and an older brother Carver … Father, John, was on the US Olympic Bobsled Team … Mother, Sarah, played soccer, softball, and basketball at the University of Central Missouri … Brother, Carver, played baseball and did track and field at the University of Central Missouri … Sister, Reese, is a member of the Kansas State track and field team … plans to major in Finance and Supply Chain Management in hopes of joining his dad in the business field and starting his own business.
