Why did you choose KU?- I chose KU because of the coaching staff, the facilities, and the university as a whole.
How did you get introduced to rowing?
- My mom’s friend's daughter rowed and she told me to try it when I was in 8th grade. So I started the summer before my freshman year of high school.
Favorite thing to do in Lawrence?
- Walk on Mass Street and find new places to hang out with friends.
- Listening to music and just sitting at the water
2024-25 (Senior)
- Raced in the eight seat of the 3 Varsity 8+ for the entire season
- A member of the 3 Varsity 8+ that finished runner-up at the Big 12 Championship
2023-24 (Junior)
- Raced in the 3 Varsity 8+ boat for the entire season
2022-23 (Sophomore)
- Helped lead the 3 Varsity 4+ boat to a second-place finish at the Double Dual race
2021-22 (Freshman)
- Assisted the Novice 8+ to a first-place finish at the Jayhawk Jamboree with a time of 19:33.
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Corona Del Sol High School and rowed all four years
- Lettered once under head coach Imran Malik
- Helped the Corona Aztecs win at the Long Beach Regatta, Desert Sprints, and California Regatta
- Raced in Varsity boats as a freshman
- Won multiple indoor rowing competitions
- Invited to the Olympic Development Program in 2019 to represent the Southwest
- Invited to Youth Regional Challenge to represent the Southwest
- Named Athlete of the Year in 2019
- Named Most Improved in 2017
PERSONAL
Daughter of Jon and Pam Olney … Has two sisters, Sara and Hanna … Plans to major in political science.
