Shiyun Lai has been named Big 12 Women's Diver of the Week for the fifth time this season, the conference office announced Wednesday.
Lai swept the diving events against Iowa State, winning both the one-meter and three-meter competitions. She set a new Robinson Pool record in the one-meter with a score of 336.30, surpassing Vicky Xu's 2019 mark of 330.15. In the three-meter event, Lai posted 401.18 points, improving her previous performance by 60 points.
Lai now holds five Big 12 Diver of the Week honors this season and eight in her career—both program records for Kansas Women's Swimming & Diving.

Kansas will host the Jayhawk First Chance meet at Robinson Natatorium on Feb. 14-15, followed by the Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championships from Feb. 25 to March 1 at Weyerhaeuser King Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Washington.
