LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Kansas women's rowing team is set to host the Dillons Sunflower Showdown in conjunction with senior day celebrations on May 3 in Kansas City, Kansas. The Jayhawks welcome in-state foe Kansas State and Creighton to the waters of Wyandotte County Lake for their final regular season regatta.
"We're looking forward to celebrating the hard work of our student-athletes in our final regular season competition," said Kansas head coach
Carrie Cook-Callen. "We encourage people to come out and cheer on the Jayhawks!"
Racing begins at 9 a.m. with the 2 Varsity 4+ and will be followed by the 1 Varsity 8+, 2 Varsity 8+, 1 Varsity 4+ and before wrapping up with the 3 Varsity 8+ at 10 a.m. All races will start 15 minutes after each other.Â
