LAWRENCE, Kan. – Three members of the Kansas men's golf team were named 2024-25 NCAA Division I Cobalt All-America Scholars on Tuesday as seniors

Luke Honner, and junior
Noah Holtzman received the honor. In total, 548 NCAA Division I athletes from 188 schools earned 2024-25 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar recognition.

To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate's degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.

King earned the All-America Scholar recognition for the second straight year. The Olathe, Kansas native is currently majoring in molecular, cellular, & development biology, while also carrying a scoring average of 71.55 throughout his junior season. King led the team in percentages of rounds counted with a 93.1% (27-of-29) and recorded his second career individual win at the Hawkeye Invitational back in April. He carded three rounds of even par while also recording 14 rounds under par on the season.Â

For Honner and Holtzman, this is their first time receiving this academic honor. Honner, a psychology major and sports management minor, spent the first two years of his collegiate career at South Dakota State before transferring to Kansas for his junior season. He competed in 12 events for the Jayhawks during the 2024-25 season, carrying a scoring average of 72.81.

Holtzman, the Wichita native, is majoring in Finance and entering his third year at KU. As a sophomore, he competed in all 13 events for the Jayhawks, recording two top-20 finishes and five rounds in the 60s.

With the selections, Kansas men's golf has now had 14 student-athletes receive the Cobalt All-America Scholar recognition in head coach Jamie Bermel's tenure at KU.
