LAWRENCE, Kan. – No. 14 Kansas looks to bounce back from its first defeat of the season on Sunday as the Jayhawks welcome No. 10 TCU to Rock Chalk Park. The match will begin at 12 p.m. CT and be broadcast on ESPN+.

Kansas (7-1-2, 1-1-0 Big 12) suffered its first loss of the season on Thursday evening, falling to Baylor 3-0.

"Coming off a loss, we look to move forward and to end the weekend on a good note," Kansas head coach Nate Lie said. "TCU will be a tough match, but we are focused and ready to compete."

The Jayhawks and Horned Frogs will meet for the first time since the Big 12 Championship game last season on Nov. 9, 2024, a match Kansas won 1-0 to claim the championship. This will also be the first Top 15 matchup at Rock Chalk Park since Oct. 22, 2020, when No. 8 Kansas fell to No. 5 TCU 2-0.

Caroline Castans was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week and earned a spot on the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week for her efforts in KU's 1-0 conference-opening victory over Oklahoma State on Sept. 18. This is the second time in her career that Castans received both honors, earning both last season on the week of Oct. 28, 2024.

Kansas remained in both national polls this week, as the Jayhawks moved up to No. 14 in the United Soccer Coaches poll and No. 9 in the TopDrawerSoccer poll. The United Soccer Coaches ranking is KU's highest since Oct. 20, 2020, when the Jayhawks reached No. 8 in the poll. This is the fourth straight week Kansas has been in the TDS poll.

Castans is tied for fourth in the Big 12 in assists with five. Lexi Watts is tied for fifth in the Big 12 in goals with five and leads the Jayhawks with 11 points logged on the year.

ABOUT TCU
TCU has a record of 8-1-0, and the Horned Frogs are coming off of a 1-0 win against Kansas State on Thursday. TCU is led by Seven Castain, who has scored six goals and tallied 14 points this season.

SERIES HISTORY
This will be the 18th meeting between Kansas and TCU. The Horned Frogs lead the series 8-6-3 over the Jayhawks. Kansas won the most recent matchup 1-0 on Nov. 9, 2024 in the Big 12 Championship game.
