LAWRENCE, Kan. - Kansas junior defender
Olivia Page was selected to TopDrawerSoccer's Women's Team of the Week, the publication announced Wednesday. Page was one of 11 Division I women's soccer players selected to the team.
A native of Shawnee, Kansas, Page helped the Jayhawks stay unbeaten with a 1-0-1 record last week, including a 1-1 draw against No. 2 Florida State on Aug. 28. Page played all 90 minutes in both matches last week and she has started all six games so far, ranking fifth on the team among field players with 454 minutes played. She is one of the anchors on the back line of a Kansas defense that has allowed only six goals in six games this season.
This marks the second time that Page has been selected to the TDS National Team of the Week, as she was picked to the team last season on Nov. 12, 2024.Â
No. 22 Kansas (4-0-2) travels to New Haven, Connecticut, to face Yale on Sunday, Sept. 7 at 11 a.m. CT.
