NEW HAVEN, Conn. – No. 22 Kansas soccer will take to the road for the second time this season, as they will face the Yale Bulldogs on Sunday, Sept. 7 at Reese Stadium in New Haven, Connecticut. The match is slated to begin at 11 a.m. CT, and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
No. 22 Kansas (4-0-2) went 1-0-1 last week, tying No. 2 Florida State 1-1 on Thursday and defeating Drake 3-1 on Sunday. The result against the Seminoles was the first result against a top-two ranked opponent in program history.Â
"After tying Florida State and getting a win over Drake last week, we're building momentum and sharpening our focus as we prepare for the match against Yale," Kansas head coach Nate Lie said. "Every game is a chance to grow, and we're ready to bring our best on the field."
Defender Olivia Page was named to the TopDrawerSoccer National Team of the Week on Wednesday. Page was one of 11 Division I players named to the team. This marks the second time that Page has been selected to the team, as she was picked to the team last season on November 12, 2024.
Midfielder Mary Sola was chosen as the Big 12 Co-Freshman of the Week on Wednesday. Sola scored the game-tying goal in a 1-1 draw against No. 2 Florida State on Aug. 28.Â
The Jayhawks will look to pick up their first road win of the season, as they had a 0-0 draw at Utah State on Aug. 24.Â
Kansas is led by Lexi Watts, who has scored four goals this season and has tallied nine points. Caroline Castans leads the team in assists with four, and has totaled six points this season. Sophie Dawe has recorded 18 saves this season, and has tallied three or more saves in five straight games.

Yale has a record of 2-2-0 with wins over Vermont and Hofstra, and losses to No. 25 Vanderbilt and UConn. The Bulldogs are led by Vienna Lundstedt, who has scored two goals and recorded an assist to tally five points this season.Â
SERIES HISTORY
This will be the second all-time meeting between Kansas and Yale, as the Jayhawks won the only other matchup 4-1 on Sept. 11, 2022. This will be the first matchup in New Haven, Connecticut.
