Fayetteville, Ark. – Kansas picked up two wins Friday at the Woo Pig Classic, outlasting Omaha, 6-5, before defeating Boise State, 4-1, behind timely hitting and steady pitching performances.
"I'm really proud of the way we competed today," said head coach Jennifer McFalls. "Omaha tested us, and we had to respond in big moments, and then to turn around and stay locked in against Boise State says a lot about this group. We got timely hits, strong pitching performances, and found ways to finish."
The Jayhawks used a four-run fourth inning to reclaim control against Omaha and held off a late rally to secure the 6-5 victory. Kansas carried that momentum into its matchup with Boise State, where Kadence Stafford and Anna Soles each launched two-run home runs, and Chloe Barber helped shut the door in a 4-1 win, completing a perfect day for KU in Fayetteville.
