Kansas Soccer Garners 2025-26 College Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas soccer received the 2025-26 College Team Academic Award, the United Soccer Coaches announced Friday.
A total of 777 soccer teams (326 men, 451 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 academic year. Kansas ended the year with a 3.72 cumulative GPA for the academic year to earn this academic honor for the 20th time in program history.
Following a NCAA Sweet Sixteen appearance last season, Kansas is ranked No. 15 in the United Soccer Coaches preseason poll. The team will play an exhibition match against Iowa on Saturday, Aug. 8 at 1 p.m. CT before hosting the season opener against Utah State on Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 7 p.m. CT. Both matches will be played at Rock Chalk Park.
