HOUSTON, Texas — The No. 15 Kansas Jayhawks won their fourth-consecutive Big 12 match with a 3-0 victory over Houston Thursday evening at the Fertitta Center. The Jayhawks won the match by set scores of 25-14, 25-23, 25-26, to claim a ninth sweep of the season.
Kansas opened up its two-game home stand on Thursday evening with a 2-2 draw against No. 24 West Virginia at Rock Chalk Park. Jordan Rowan and Becca Smith were the goal scorers for the Jayhawks.
Kansas freshman sensation Darryn Peterson has been named the Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year and preseason all-conference as the league announced its coaches' preseason honors today.
