2004 (as a sophomore)
An Academic All-Big 12 First-Team selection … Saw action in 42 games in right field, as a pinch runner or hitter … Started 33 times for the second straight season … Was 2-for-3 in stolen bases … Had three multi-hit games … Best game of the season was against No. 17 Nebraska on March 13 when she went 2-for-3 with a double and RBI … KU went on to win the game 3-0 … Also went 2-for3 at the plate against Bethune Cookman (Feb. 14) and DePaul (March 13) … Notched two putouts against UTSA on Feb. 15 and versus Baylor on March 27.
2003 (as a freshman)
Appeared in 36 games, starting in 33 … Hardest player to strikeout in the Jayhawk lineup … Second on team with three hit by pitches … Earned Most Improved Player award at team[apos]s season-ending banquet … Started 29 straight games in the KU outfield during one stretch in the season … Only batter to reach base against Nebraska on April 10 … With the bases loaded, hit a double to clear the bases against New Mexico State on March 15 … Went 6-for-14 at the Softball by the Beach Tournament in Santa Barbara, Calif. … Went 3-for-3 with two RBI against Cal Poly on Feb. 21 … Stole first collegiate base in 4-2 win over Penn State on Feb. 28 … Recorded her first career hit as a Jayhawk against Cal State Northridge on Feb. 16.

Three-year letterwinner in softball for the Cougars at Shawnee Mission Northwest in Shawnee, Kan. … 2002 All-Sunflower League, All-Sun, All-Johnson County and All-Metro First-Team selection … 2000, 2001 and 2002 NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete … Helped lead Shawnee Mission to 2000 and 2002 6A Kansas State Championships … Coached by Mike Balderston … Also earned five music letters and three academic letters at Shawnee Mission NW … National Honor Society member … Received President[apos]s Award for Educational Excellence and was a Kansas Honors Scholar.
