Academic All-Big 12 Second-Team selection … Only Jayhawk to start all 61 games … Led KU with a .263 batting average, 175 at-bats, 164 assists, 65 total bases, 46 hits, 24 RBI, 21 runs, 17 stolen bases and three sacrifice hits … Complied 11 multi-hit games, including three three-hit performances … Hit four home runs on the season … Went 3-for-4 with a double against UC-Riverside on Feb. 20 … Went 3-for-3 against Bradley on March 18 … Again was 3-for-4 with two RBI against Arkansas on April 21 … Stole three bases against Kentucky on Feb. 15 and two versus Illinois State on March 14 … Was caught stealing just four times in 21 attempts … Notched six assists against Arizona State on Feb. 7 and seven at Oregon State on March 21.
2003 (as a freshman)
Started all 48 games at shortstop for KU … Led team with 16 stolen bases, 27 walks and 28 runs scored … Finished second all-time at KU for a freshman, with 27 walks … Is third all-time at KU for a freshman with 16 stolen bases and is seventh as a freshman at KU with 28 runs scored … Scored three runs against Utah on Feb. 22 … Hit first home run as a Jayhawk against No. 15 Fresno State, keying a 1-0 win on February 15 … Drove in game-winning run vs. Mississippi in the 10th inning in season-opener on February 7… Had more runs scored than base hits … Led team with 124 assists … Homered against Cal Poly on Feb 21 and Texas A&M on April 12.
