2010 OUTDOOR: Qualified and competed in the NCAA West Discus Preliminaries (May 25), recording his personal best with a throw of 57.82m (189-08.00ft.)…Finished in the top three in six of the ten times he competed in, including five top three finishes…In the John McDonnell Invitational (April 9) he finished first in the shot put on a personal best throw of 16.29m (53-05.50ft.).
2010 INDOOR: Finished in the top five in four of the nine times he competed…Threw his personal best in the shot put in the Jayhawk Classic (Jan. 29) with a mark of 16.59m (54-05.00ft.), finishing second in the event…Had his only first place finish of the season in the weight throw at the Bill Easton Classic (Jan. 8), throwing the team[apos]s season high mark of 15.56m (51-00.75ft.).
2009 OUTDOOR: Threw a personal-best 187-06 ft. in the discus to place third at the Big 12 Championships (May 16) and qualify for the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships…That mark also cracked the KU all-time bests list as the sixth-best discus throw in school history…Placed second in the discus at both the Jim Click Shootout (April 4) and Arkansas Twilight (May 1)…Took seventh at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships (May 30) with a throw of 179-02 ft…Had a season-best eighth-place finish in the shot put at Jim Click Shootout (April 4)…Was selected as Newcomer of the Year for field athletes.
2009 INDOOR: Led the Jayhawks in the shot put and weight throw throughout the season…Placed 12th at the Big 12 Championships (Feb. 28) in shot put with a season-best throw of 49-00.75 ft…Took fifth at the KU vs. MU Dual (Jan. 16) in both shot put (46-06 ft.) and weight throw (40-05.50).
AT SIUE: First Team All-GLVC and second-place conference finisher in 2008 in the discus with a throw of 178-03 ft…Throw of 178-03 ft. was the third-highest discus throw all-time in the conference…Placed ninth at the NCAA Division II National Championships with a throw of 165-10 ft.
HIGH SCHOOL: State runner-up in the discus as a junior (168-10 ft.) and senior (182-09 ft.)…Placed fourth in the shot put at the state championships as a senior (53-03.25 ft.)…Senior Spotlight Champion with a high school-record throw of 185-11 ft…Midwest Sangamo Conference record holder in the discus…Field MVP as a junior …Competed on the USA Junior World Team in 2008…Was the top American discus thrower at the Junior World Championships…Lettered two years in soccer…First team all-conference soccer selection.
