2010 OUTDOOR: NCAA Champion in the pole vault, winning the title by clearing a height of 5.40m (17-08.50ft.)… First Team All-American… First Team Academic All-Big 12… Placed in the top three in every event which he competed, including three first place finishes… Cleared a height of 5.71m (18-08.75ft) which set a personal best and team season high at the Texas Relays (April 3).
2010 INDOOR: Was ranked in the top ten nationally in the pole vault at the end of the indoor season…Won his fourth straight pole vault title in the Big 12 Championships (Feb. 26) with a jump of 5.42m (17-09.25ft.)… Placed in the top three of every event he competed in including five first place finishes… His highest vault of the year and his career came at the Tyson Invitational (Feb. 13) with a jump of 5.43m (17-09.75ft.), finishing 3rd.
2009 OUTDOOR: Utilized his redshirt season
2009 INDOOR: Already one of the most decorated athletes in KU track and field history, he continued his domination in the pole vault, finishing first in five of the eight events in which he competed and never finishing lower than third throughout the season…Became an NCAA All-American for the second time in his career with a third place finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships (March 13-14)…Jumped a season-best 5.55 meters (18-2.50 ft) at the Big 12 Championships (Feb. 28) to be crowned Big 12 Champion for the third consecutive year…Named Big 12 Male Athlete of the Week (Feb. 3) after a then-nation-leading vault of 5.50 meters (18-00.50 ft) at the adidas Classic (Jan. 31)…Won the KU vs. MU Dual (Jan. 16) after clearing 5.50 meters (18-00.50 ft) Took first at the Arkansas Invitational (Jan. 9), jumping 5.40 meters (17-08.50 ft).
2008 OUTDOOR: Regional champion in the pole vault with a vault of 5.51 meters (18-01 ft.)…Also named to the Midwest All-Region team with his pole vault regional championship…Of the eight meets in which he competed in the pole vault, he was victorious four times…Posted a personal-best jump of 5.60 meters (18-04.50 ft.) to win the pole vault at the UNI Jumps Classic…Finished in first place at the ESU Twilight with a vault of 5.36 meters (17-07 ft.)…Placed first at the Arkansas Twilight with a jump of 5.31 meters (17-05 ft.)…Was the runner-up at the Big 12 Championships after posting a jump of 5.30 meters (17-04.50 ft.)…Finished second at the Kansas Relays with a vault of 5.20 meters (17-00.75 ft.).
2008 INDOOR: Competed in the pole vault nine times…Placed either first or second in every meet except the NCAA Championships…Placed ninth at the NCAA Championships with a vault of 5.30 meters (17-04.50 ft.) to become an All-American…Placed second at the Tyson Invitational with a personal-best mark of 5.55 meters (18-02.25 ft.)…Set the facility record at the Armory Track and FieldCenter in New York at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational with a winning mark of 5.50 meters (18-00.50 ft.)…Set the Ahern Fieldhouse record during the KSU All-Comers meet with a winning mark of 5.24 meters (17-02.75 ft.)…Won his third Big 12 Championship (second indoor) with a vault of 5.50 meters (18-00.50 ft.).
2007 OUTDOOR: Big 12 Outdoor Freshman Co-Performer of the Year…Big 12 Champion in the pole vault…Pole vault champion at the Midwest Regionals…Qualified for the NCAA Championships…Set a meet record at the USA Junior Championships in June…Won a silver medal in the pole vault at the 2007 Pan-American Junior Games.
2007 INDOOR: Big 12 Indoor Freshman Performer of the Year…Big 12 Champion in the pole vault…Provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships…Became the first Kansas male student-athlete to receive the Big 12 Freshman Performer of the Year accolade in any season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Highly successful pole vaulter, who captured the Georgia state championship three-straight years (2004-06)…Also holds the Geogria state high school record in the pole vault, clearing 5.05 meters (16-07 ft.)…Twice named Georgia Field Athlete of the Year (2005-06)…Took fifth place at the IAAF World Youth Championships…Two-time All-American in both the indoor and outdoor season…Member of the honor roll all four years.
