Competed in five meets for Kansas … Opened the season with a second place finish in the decathlon at the Emporia State Relays. Finished with 6709 points, winning the long jump and 100 meter dash while finishing second in the pole vault and discus throw … Finished fifth in the long jump with a jump of 7.05 meters (23-1.75 ft.) at the Kansas Relays. Also finished 30th in the preliminary 110 meter hurdles and 9th in the preliminary 4x400 meter relay … Took home the bronze in the long jump and 10th in the high jump at the Rock Chalk Classic with jumps of 6.93 meters (22-9 ft.) and 1.86 meters (6-1.25 ft.) respectively …Placed 16th in the long jump with 7.21 meters (23-8 ft.) at the Desert Heat Classic … Closed the season with a fourth place finish in the Ward Haylett Invitational long jump with a best of 7.07 meters (23-2.5 ft.).
