David Lewis joined Kansas Athletics in August 2023. Lewis is responsible for directing and overseeing the day-to-day facility operations and maintenance operations for soccer, softball, track, tennis and golf facilities.
Lewis came to Kansas following four years at Oklahoma where he spent his first two years as an Assistant Director of Athletic Event Management & Camps and his final two years as the Director of Soccer Operations. Prior to Oklahoma, Lewis spent time at Marshall and Miami (OH) in the facilities and events departments. Lewis also worked at Alma College as an Athletic Department Volunteer & Baseball Coach/Director of Operations and at Central Michigan as a Facilities and Game Operations Intern.
A native of Coleman, Michigan, graduated from Alma College with a bachelor of arts history and social studies in 2009 and a master of science in administration with a concentration in sport administration in 2012.
Lewis resides in Lawrence with his wife, Melissa, his kids Aubrey and Nolan, and his two dogs Buzz and Beverly.
