PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas - The Kansas women's golf team posted a 302 (+18) and is tied for fourth place after 18 holes of the White Sands Bahamas Fall Invitational at the Ocean Club Golf Course.Â
Due to heavy rain in the area, Friday's opening round was canceled after just five holes of play. The tournament format now consists of 18 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday.
Â
"Today's conditions were really challenging, especially on the ocean holes and into the wind," said head coach
Lindsay Kuhle. "It was a great test for us and I'm really proud of how we struck the ball today. It was consistently 20-25 with wind gusts up to 30 at times on the ocean holes."Â
Â
Purdue leads the pack at +7, followed by Baylor (+12), Texas A&M (+14), Kansas (+18)Â and Missouri (+18) to round out the top five.Â

Â
"Lyla and Lily were solid today with consistent ball striking, and Lauren and Johanna finished well for the team score," said Kuhle. "We hit a lot of great knock down shots that started on their line and kept below the wind which we've been really working hard on."Â Â
