LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Kansas women's golf team is set to open its 2025-26 season hosting the Jayhawk Invitational, August 24-25, at the Jayhawk Club in Lawrence, Kansas.Â
Â
"We're excited to host a small field to get the season underway," KU head coach
Lindsay Kuhle said. "The biggest thing we wanted to accomplish by hosting this tournament was to get our four new golfers comfortable, and ease into the season."
Â
Joining Kansas in the 10-team field is Alabama State, Creighton, Eastern Illinois, Longwood, North Alabama, Northern Iowa, UT Arlington, ULM, and Wichita State. The tournament will consist of two days, with a 36-hole shotgun start on Sunday the 24th, followed by an 18-hole shotgun start on Monday the 25th. Both days begin at 8 a.m. (Central) and the Jayhawk Club measures 6,337 yards with a par of 72.
Â
All eight KU student-athletes will compete in the tournament with a lineup of seniors

Â
Louderbaugh is coming off an impressive end to last season and summer. She finished last season becoming the first Jayhawk in program history to win an NCAA Regional individually. She then carried that momentum into the summer by winning the 2025 Missouri Women's Amateur and advancing to the semifinals at U.S. Women's Amateur Championship.Â
Â
DeKock is coming off an impressive junior campaign where she averaged 72.7 in 2024-25. Nordstedt posted five top-20 finishes last season, and carded three rounds in the 60's.Â
Â
"We have the goal of being a consistent top 20 program, making it back to the national championship, competing for a national title, and securing a Big 12 title is on our radar for this year," Kuhle said.
Â
Kansas women's golf is coming off its best statistical season in school history. The 2024-25 Jayhawks won a program record six tournament championships and five individual championships. Included, was the first ever team regional championship at the NCAA Regional in Columbus, Ohio. The Jayhawks are looking to continue their historic run in the 2025-26 season, by making their fourth straight NCAA Regionals appearance.Â
