Castans, Gregorski Named to Preseason All-Big 12 Team

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas Soccer's Caroline Castans and Jillian Gregorski were named to the Preseason All-Big 12 Team, the conference announced on Monday.Â

Castans, a 2025 All-Big 12 First Team honoree and a United Soccer Coaches All-American Fourth Team selection, will enter her senior season after leading the Big 12 and finishing tied for third in the nation with 15 assists, which also set a single-season school record. She started all 25 matches last season and played 2,103 minutes, which was third most on the team amongst field players. She was also selected to the Big 12 All-Tournament Team for the second straight year, was named Big 12 Co-Scholar-Athlete of the year and was picked to the United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region Second Team.Â

Gregorski, a 2025 All-Big 12 Second Team selection, comes into her junior season after setting new career highs in goals (10) and points (23), which were both second on the team. She also started all 25 matches and scored a team-leading five game-winning goals.Â

After advancing to the third round of the NCAA Tournament for just the third time in program history last season, Kansas is picked to finish tied for third in the 2026 Big 12 Preseason Poll. The third place spot in the poll, which is voted on by the league's head coaches, is the highest preseason mark for Kansas in program history. The first preseason poll was conducted prior to the 2000 season.
