At what age did you start swimming and how did you get into the sport?
- I was 9 years old when I started swimming. I began swimming because it was recommended for my older sister who has autism so we started together.
- Listen to music, stretch and try to laugh.
- I am married.
- Soccer because I did it when I was younger and my mom played and she’s my role model.
- Have big dreams and goals, but don’t take it too seriously.

2024-25 (Senior)
- Academic All-Big 12 Team
- A member of the 200 free relay that won at the Sunflower Showdown. Also on the 200 medley relay that finished second and placed third in the 100 back (58.73).
- Won the 100 yard backstroke (56.47) at the Illinois Dual on October 10.
- Placed second in the 100 back (56.13) and helped the 200 free relay to a win against South Dakota (Oct. 25-26, 2024)
- Assisted the 200 medley relay to a third place finish at the Nebraska Dual (Nov. 1, 2024) and came in runner-up in the 100 back (56.04).
- Helped the 200 free relay to a win and the 200 medley relay to a runner-up finish against Rockhurst on Dec. 7.
- Assisted the 400 freestyle relay to a runner-up finish at Arkansas on Jan. 24
- Placed third in the 100 back (55.90) and assisted the 400 freestyle relay to a victory and 200 medley relay to a runner-up finish against Iowa State on Feb. 7
2023-24Â (Junior)
- Named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team.
- Finished third in the 100-yard backstroke (57.66) against Iowa State.
- Led the Kansas squad in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:02.62, which she set at the Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championship on Feb. 27.
2022-23 (Sophomore)
- Named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team.
- Placed third in the 100-yard backstroke in the Sunflower Showdown on September 30th.
- Placed 11th in the 200-yard IM in the Big 12 Championship on Feb. 22nd.
- Participated in every meet.
2021-22 (Freshman)
- Named to the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team.
- Made collegiate debut at the Sunflower Showdown (Oct. 1).
- Finished second in the 100-yard backstroke event at the Sunflower Showdown, with a time of 28.56.
- Finished seventh in the 100-yard backstroke event in her Big 12 Championship debut.
High School
- Howe, of Bountiful High School in Bountiful, Utah, is a two-time Utah 5A State Championship in the 100 backstroke, which she has won each of the last two years.
- Howe was also the 2020 runner-up in the 50 freestyle and was third in the same race in 2019.
