Why did you choose KU?

I chose KU because it values diversity which is important to me as a minority. I also came here because they were starting a criminal justice program, and I knew that was what I wanted to major in.
How did you get introduced to rowing?
- I heard about it through other people who liked it. So I attended prospect day and realized it was something I could really see myself doing.
Favorite thing to do in Lawrence?
- I like to eat out on Mass Street.
- Raced in the bow seat on the 3 Varsity 8+ at the Double Dual and first two rounds at Lake Wheeler Invite
- Was the three seat for the 2 Varsity 4+ at Sarasota 2K and final round of the Lake Wheeler Invite
- A member of the 1 Varsity 4+ boat at the Sunflower Showdown and Big 12 Championship
- Outstanding Freshman of the Year award
- A four-time cross-country state champion
- A three-time cross-country league champion
- A two-time track & field league champions
- Three-time podium medalist at Sunflower League
- Ran a 20:20 5K at the University of Arkansas Chili Pepper Race to help her team to a 2nd team placement
- A four-time academic letter
- NHS scholar
- Band Director Award State medalist in her trumpet performance
