LAWRENCE, Kan. -Â The Kansas women's golf team came out on top of the 13-team field at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational at the Lawrence Golf Club in dominating fashion. The Jayhawks finished with a team score of 858 (-6) and won the event by 13 strokes on Tuesday.Â

Kansas' score of 858 (-6) marks the sixth-lowest 54-hole team score in program history. Kansas' tournament win also marks the second time in program history that Kansas has won back-to-back tournaments in a season, the last time being in 2012.Â

Missouri (+7) finished in second place, followed by Kent State (+19), San Francisco (+26) and Long Beach State (+27) to round out the top five. Kent State's Veronika Kedronova claimed medalist honors at -5.

Senior
Johanna Ebner and junior
Amy DeKock both tied for second after finishing the tournament with a score of 213 (-3).
This is Ebner's third career finish inside of the top five, and ties for her best career finish as a Jayhawk. Ebner finished the tournament shooting rounds of 73-66-74 (-3). Ebner's round of 66 for Monday's second round was a career-low and tied for the third-lowest 18-hole individual score in Kansas history.

DeKock was able to record her best career finish and also notched her first career top-5 finish. DeKock shot rounds of 68-71-74 (-3).Â

Senior
Lily Hirst finished the tournament shooting rounds of 70-69-76 (-1) and in a tie for seventh place. This marks Hirst's fifth career top-10 finish and second of the season.Â

Sophomore
Lyla Louderbaugh led the way for the Jayhawks in the final round after carding two eagles on the day to finish with a score of 70 (-2). Louderbaugh finished the tournament shooting 75-78-70 (+7) to finish tied for 23rd.Â

Senior
Jordan Rothman finished the tournament tied for 27th place after shooting rounds of 76-72-78 (+10).Â

The Kansas B team, which consisted of senior
Lauren Clark, juniors
Ruth Toennessen and
Anna Wallin and freshman
Lauren Madson, finished in sixth place overall after firing team scores of 299-296-301 (+32).Â

Clark and Toennessen led the way for the Jayhawks, both finishing tied for 16th at +4. Clark finished the tournament shooting 71-75-72, while Toennessen finished with scores of 71-74-75. This is Clark's 10th career finish inside of the top 20, while Toennessen notched her first career top-20 finish.

Wallin finished her final round of the tournament with a 76 (+4), and finished the event tied for 19th with scores of 75-71-76 (+6). This is Wallin's first career finish inside of the top 20.

In Madson's first collegiate event she finished with scores of 82-76-76 (+18) and finished tied for 48th overall.Â
