GRAND HAVEN, Mich. – The Kansas men's golf team tied for third place at the Folds of Honor Collegiate, played Sept. 8-10 at the American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven, Michigan. With scores of 287-288-288, the Jayhawks finished 11-over par for the tournament.

Alabama won the tournament with a score of 847 (-5), followed by Notre Dame (+1),Â
KANSASÂ (+11), Cincinnati (+11), and California (+12) to round out the top five. With the tie for third place, Kansas earns its highest finish at the Folds of Honor Collegiate in program history.

"Overall, this was a nice start to the year," Kansas head coach
Jamie Bermel said following the event. "
Arthur Carlier and
Will King both gave us top 10 finishes, and
Luke Honner helped us with a top 20 finish. We have a few days to get better before we go to Cincinnati to compete, they are always tough to play at their home course."

Senior
Will King put together an impressive performance during the Folds of Honor Collegiate, recording scores of 73-72-68 (+1). King's best round came on the final day of the tournament Wednesday, as he carded four birdies and jumped 10 spots individually into the top 10. King tied for seventh place individually to give him his ninth top 10 finish of his career.Â

Freshman
Arthur Carlier showed out in his first collegiate event for the Jayhawks. Carlier finished with scores of 70-72-72 (+1) and tied for seventh place individually. Carlier secured eight birdies during the tournament and carded a bogey-free back nine in the opening round.Â

Senior
Luke Honner fired scores of 76-68-73 (+4) and tied for 19th place to give him his third top 20 finish as a Jayhawk. Honner's tournament was highlighted by his second round performance, where he recorded four birdies to only one bogey on the day.Â

Sophomore
Ty Lasley carded seven birdies during the tournament and finished with scores of 72-76-74 (+9). Lasley tied for 37th place individually.Â

Junior
Will Baker finished the tournament with scores of 72-82-75 (+16) and tied for 63rd place individually.Â
