CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Kansas men's golf team is set to travel to Cincinnati, Ohio to compete in the Bearcat Invitational at the Coldstream Country Club from Sept. 15-16. The Jayhawks will open the two-day event with 36 holes on Monday, followed by 18 holes on Tuesday.
The 18-team field is hosted by Cincinnati and consists of Furman, Maryland, Arkansas at Little Rock, UCF, South Florida, Kentucky, Ohio State, Sam Houston, Augusta, Nebraska, Arkansas, Louisville, Iowa State, Memphis, UNCG, and TCU.Â
Kansas is coming off a third-place finish at the Folds of Honor Collegiate, which is the best finish in program history at Grand Haven since the tournament started in 2022.
"We are really excited to compete again after a short turn around,"Â Kansas coach Jamie Bermel said. "We need to tighten a few things up this week as we have another good field and Cincinnati is typically very tough on their home course."
Coach Bermel will travel with a lineup of seniors Will King, Luke Honner, sophomores Ty Lasley, Hartej Grewal, and freshman Arthur Carlier.
King and Carlier are both coming off impressive finishes at the Folds of Honor Collegiate. Both golfers finished inside the top 10 individually and scored a 214 (+1) on the tournament. Grewal will be making his Kansas debut in Cincinnati.Â
