GRAND HAVEN, Mich. – The Kansas men's golf team is set to open their 2025-26 season at the Folds of Honor Collegiate in Grand Haven, Michigan at American Dunes Golf Club on Monday. All three rounds of the event will be televised on the Golf Channel from September 8-10.Â

The 15-team field is co-hosted by Florida State and Michigan, with Air Force, Alabama, Army, Baylor, California, Cincinnati, Florida A&M, Grand Valley State,Â
KANSAS, Missouri, Navy, Notre Dame, and Ohio State rounding out the field.Â

Head Coach
Jamie Bermel is entering his 14th season with the Jayhawks, and is coming off a season where Kansas competed in their ninth consecutive NCAA Regionals. Coach Bermel and the Jayhawks finished in 10th place at the NCAA Bremerton Regionals last season.Â

Jamie Bermel said. "I know the guys are anxious to get the season started."

The Folds of Honor was founded by former Jayhawk and Lieutenant Colonel Dan Rooney, who played golf at the University of Kansas and dedicated his life to rallying patriotic Americans through the foundation. Since 2007, the organization has provided over 45,000 scholarships to spouses and children of fallen or disabled military.

The 54-hole tournament will take place at the historic American Dunes Golf Club, playing 7,128 yards at a par 72. The course is highlighted by the 594-yard par-five 13th, followed behind by hole 15, a challenging 220-yard par 3. Designed by legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus, the property is located on the east shore of Lake Michigan and is covered with sand and various obstacles throughout the course.Â

King has competed in the Folds of Honor in his past two seasons at KU. He competed in 11 events for the Jayhawks last season, and carried a scoring average of 71.55 over 29 rounds. King posted eight rounds in the 60's last season, and secured his second career collegiate win at the Hawkeye Invitational on April 22-24.Â

Honner is in his second year with the Jayhawks, and he also competed in the Folds of Honor last season. He competed in all 12 events for Kansas last season, carrying a scoring average 72.81 over 33 rounds. As a Jayhawk, Honner recorded two top 20 finishes and two top 10 finishes during the 2024-25 season.Â

Baker spent his first two seasons at Clemson before transferring to Kansas in the summer. Baker competed in five events last season for the Tigers, and carried a scoring average of 74.27 over 15 rounds.Â

Lasley is entering his second year with the Jayhawks. Last year as a freshman, he competed in six events and carried a scoring average of 74.77 over 18 rounds. Lasley recorded one finish inside the top 20, and carded a low 54-hole score of 214.Â

Carlier is set to make his Kansas debut and compete in his first collegiate event. Carlier signed with the Jayhawks in November.Â
